Rules of the Tournament: - Ring Rules
1. The one who is knocked out or is out of the ring for more than 10 counts loses. Flying will not result of being counted.
2. You also lose if you're declared not able to fight by the referee.
3. If you forfeit, you lose. However, it doesn't mean the chance of your opponent will let you go is 100%.
4. You cannot kill the resident NPCs.
5. You can blackmail, threaten, cheat, even kill on the ring as long as you follow the general rules. If you are killed you will have to RP in the Spirit World and try to convince Koenma to revive you, but you cannot fight in the Dark Tournament for that year anymore.
6. You can kill the spectators as well with your attack.
7. Even though the DT is held every 50 years, we shall hold it every summer. The Makai Bujutsukai shall be every Christmas time.
8. Even though Team Urameshi won the last DT, they won't be admitted immediately into the semi-finals in the first tournament.
9. The guest team cannot reject the offer of being invited, unless they wanted to go to Spirit World.
10. Anyone can bribe Ruka to help them against their opponents. Once again, any kind of dirty work is allowed.
- Rules Outside the stadium
1. If you meet your opponent outside the ring, you still can blackmail, threaten, cheat and kill them, but you can't inside the hotel. Also, that will be an unofficial match.
2. While waiting for your match, you are free to become a spectator or wander around the island.
- Prizes
Here are your privilages if you won the DT:
Team Owner 1. Choosing who shall be the next Guest Team.
2. 45% of the profits. Usually it's 8,000,000,000,000,000 yen, so the team owner shall get 3,600,000,000,000,000 yen.
3. A wish to be granted (as long as it follows the rules)
4. Temporary moderation of one place in Human World.
Team Member 1. A wish to be granted (as long as it follows the rules)
2. 11% of the profits for each team member. That's 880,000,000,000,000 yen.
3. To be admitted immediately into the semi-finals on the next Dark Tournament.

DT Participants: - Team Member - 4 needed. Obviously, they are the regular people who will fight.
- Team Captain - 1 needed. The leader of the team. They are the ones who will discuss on the conditiond of the fight. Usually their teams are named by their last names.
- Team Owner - 1 needed, optional (but will put his prizes to waste.) The one who bids on that team to win. Usually they're members of the Black Black Club.
- Replacement - 1 needed, optional (once again, will put his prizes to waste.) He's the one who will replace a killed member.
- Guest Team - This is the team who has gained reputation in the underworld. When invited, they have no choice but to enter the tournament, or else they will be killed.
- Spectators - They are the people who watch the matches in the stadium. They can freely shout "Die, Urameshi!" or something, but they still get involved in the fighting (sort of)

Resident NPCs: - Koto - Yes, our resident ref is back on ring side! Putting her life into risk to entertain thousands of demons and the best bloodbath matches seen on the best view, she is our referee for this year.
- Juri - Still loves the bloody action yet hates putting herself into the risk, Juri retired as a waitress of Demon World and returned to the tournament industry, as our play - by - play announcer/commentator. Taking advice from Koto, she enters the Ankoku Bujutsukai job for the second time. Will she make it?
- Ruka - Ruka, mistress of the shield, is now the Tournament's resident first aid nurse. Her methods are the same, though, and you should be careful around her, for she can be bribed easily by a team.

Matches: The following are the conditions on the matches shown in Yuu Yuu Hakusho. They are only suggestions; You can still make your own conditions. - Best 3 out of 5 - Used when fighting Rokuyoukai Team. Just like it says: The first team to get 3 wins from 5 one-one-ones goes to the next round. This is also the conditions in the finals.
- Batle Royale - Used when fighting Dr. Ichigaki Team. If the number of members present on the match on each team are the same, all of them fight at the same time. The one who defeats all of their opponents wins. Best for teamwork.
- Dare - Used at Toguro Team's fights before the finals. It is when someone challenges the opponent team to try to kill them with more than the number of members they're sending. Almost seems to lead to death from one of the teams.
- Survival/One-on-one elimination - Used when fighting Mashoutsukai Team. It is a series of one-on-one fights; the one who wins the match will face the next contender. The winner will be the last man standing.
- Dice Roll - Used when fighting Uratogi Team. There are two dices: the first five spaces has the names of the members of each team, while the 6th space is a free choice, meaning anyone can fight. The ones who will fight are the names that appeared from the dice. The loser will be the one who got all of his contestants eliminated.

Special Circumstances: - Flying - Flying is not included as an out-of-bounds, for the air is also a part of the ring.
- Replacements - There can be only one replacement at the team, wether they lost more than 1 contestant or not. Special circumstances of replacements even though a member is not killed are in the finals, where 5 contestants must be present.

Taken from Melody's YYH RPG.Glossary: - Out of Bounds: to be on the ground off of the raised platform
- Down: on your knees, stomach, or any other part besides your feet. Being in bounds or out doesn't matter
- Forfeit: to give up a fight. The character who wishes to forfeit does so by raising one's left hand, stating their name, and that they wish to forfeit (ex: "I, Yuusuke Urameshi, would like to forfeit the match."). However, even doing this may not save your life.
- No Longer Able to Fight: to be in a state which movement is impossible or nearly impossible (ex: tied down, trapped, unconscious...or dead.)
